Woke up cranky so made myself an ube waffle and Thai boba tea to reset the day

yikes! On my run today I accidentally scared 3 black bear cubs up a tree and I know mama bear was nearby, too. sorry bear fam, thanks for not getting too mad at me.
but omg the cubs were so smol, and all claws, which is why I heard them.
Been pretty good keeping up with my running routine. Hills are becoming more tolerable, nothing is flat here. Been mixing in some sprint intervals and liking that more than I expected.
Signed up to do a 10k race in June…my brain needs this as motivation.
Was craving popcorn but realized I am out of kernels, but I did have a bag of frozen corn. So I warmed that up, seasoned the same way (olive oil, nutritional yeast, truffle salt, cayenne)…and wow, maybe a favorite snack now. 🌽
❄️ It snowed late last night and is currently snowing here. I’m not mad about it. ❄️
Hoping this cold will weaken or at least delay the black fly and mosquito front that is soon to be upon us.

@VanisleJay ha yeah just super bootleg style and so sad in comparison but still hit the spot. There was a moment where I poured the bag of corn in the pot that I wished I had the energy for pastel de choclo…but instead I just ate the whole bag bootleg style.

I haven’t posted much about it because I spent last year recovering from a backpacking injury turned surgery. But been easing back into things since January. Sounds like some exciting trips coming up for you!
