Today I'm building the 70$ Ktaxon #DIY #Guitar #Kit . There looks to be a yt vid for a step by step, I'm #halfasstronaughting it and pulling a #leeroyjenkins . Will it be playable? Will it be accidentally #microtonal ? Tune in latter and find out when I post up a review.

An amuse-bouche for you in the shape of a new gear test. A #JamBuddyII multi fx #pedal for #guitar and #bass and a goofy #mask that has near zero visibility and horrible air flow, it acts much like the blast helmet Lukes uses as a padwan. The tune is #Gigantic , the mood is #casual, and I stop breathing about 20 seconds in. Enjoy.
@tinker@infosec.exchange add #Aberdeen #SouthDakoa to the list of places with free #seed libraries. Housed in the #RedRooster cafe and #community hangout there is now a trove of seeds and a place to donate seeds. There is also one in the #public #library now, both helped along by a wonderful community enthusiast and started just recently.

Spot on. Not having our hands on the Means of Production leaves us a Tools of Labor controlled by others.
The TechoOligarchs fear not being in control. Even efforts to get more control to more hands (foss, decentralization, data sovereignty) are being consolidated into the control of the few.
Use your tools or they use you.
To patch #Linux systemd to exclude #ageverification, users can use ...
- #Liberated systemd: A standalone fork that removes surveillance-enabling code
- #systemd-no-age-verification: A GitHub repository that reverts the specific commits i
- #AgelessLinux : A compliance-tracking project that offers a script

@tinker@infosec.exchange I am not above being silly, even in an edit:) I take your points of scale and scope. The parts where we don't agree, hopefully we do the thesis/antithesis/synthesis dance and came out of it better beings.
So given what is in play, where next?
Is this a Notch/Mojang situation where in the driving force exits stage left?
Is this a WhenInTheCourseOf... situation where in a one thing becomes two?
Wherever things wind up Im in for the ride.

@tinker@infosec.exchange Linux was a personal passion project for Linus. That others found it useful was icing.
I may disagree with Linus the person but it has always been clear, if you don't like what he is doing fork and go forth.
Linus owes us nothing. Right or wrong, he has his ideas for doing things and historically has shown he has zero fs to give if you're not on board with it.
Demanding creators and maintainers conform to our perceptions of what they should be is a great way to drive them away.

Growing old in America is a fascinating horrifying yet amazing subject. Unless you are an immortal, like #jojosbizarreadventure creator, or you are very rich things are going to come down to a ton of planning and even more out of your hands decession making. Health care costs, environmental forces, cultural mood shifts, economic fluctuations that can spin by the slightest whimmsey of an influencer bruh.

@tinker@infosec.exchange The Constitution was drafted by colonial lawyers looking to protect themselves from taxation while keeping their means of production (slaves) & their land; dressing it up in the language of revolution. As soon as they had a lock on power though you can see how quickly the revolutionary language faded. What was left was strong ownership rights and weakened everything else. This is why GWashington passed the Fugitive Slave Act even while singing Liberty For All. Rigged from the start!
