Always trying to escape big-tech. Strives to thoroughly understand technology. Embraces simplicity.
Other hobbies include making music, stargazing, chess and more. There's a lot that piques my interest and a lot left to learn out there.
“You are worthy, Jehovah our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things [...].” (Revelation 4:11, NWT)
Just a reality check (especially for folks from the States): My 11yo student had a presentation about the USA and she didn't know the current president. Now, to be fair, she wouldn't know our presdents either. But just so everyone knows: Luckly he isn't on everyone's minds.
@GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social This is exactly the problem. Compare to the output of gemma 4 e2b (literally the weakest current model you can run at home on most laptops) below.
...me trying to jailbreak models while Redditors do it accidentally.
Huh, just noticed that I have more followers than follows.
Sure, most of them are dormant accounts, but most accounts I followed died as well.

Shoutout to a fantastic tool: Pdfarranger
It allows you to manipulate PDFs very easily. Reorganize pages, resize, crop, insert blank, rotate, extract to different PDF/image file, split and merge pages and much more. Saved me countless minutes/hours.
No signup, no ads, no tracking, no bloat. Just fast and simple. Available for Linux and Windows.
Just watched #ProjectHailMary (with my family).
IMHO, the book is way better. I think film is just a hard medium to convey scientific details. And the story relies on these details for a lot of the plot.
However, the friendship between Rocky and Grace was put beautifully. Though my not-so-nerdy family could't follow the entire plot, they could very well follow the emotional dynamic between these two.
Israel Epstein
Israel Epstein (20 April 1915 – 26 May 2005) [...] was a Chinese journalist. Born [to Jewish parents] in Poland, Epstein was one of the few foreign-born Chinese citizens of non-Chinese origin to become a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
lol
I've started watching #StarTrek (original series), because my parents are a fan of it.
I don't know... IMHO it had truly awful writing. Like Episodes where the core conflict doesn't get resolved, but they just fly away after 50min. Or instead of dealing with the human aspect of certain crew members, they just strand them or send them away and that's it.
The filming technology doesn't need to be good to tell a compelling story!
Thoroughly disappointed.
2022, v1.0.0: We started work on #forgejo, it will be like gitea but decentraliced!
2025 v8.0.0: Stars are now federated between instances
2028 v19.0.0: Profile pictures are now federated
2031 v26.0.0: Hurrayy, we now federate whether a repo has LLM code in it or not (not the repo itself though).
2034 v31.0.0: You can now make issues on remote repos! (They will only show up on your instance though) (experimental)
2037: Federation is too close to crypto, so we're not developing it further.
