This blog highlights the greatest challenges to the free software commons (cloud deployment and AI washing).
I suspect many folks don't realize how much open source powers _everything_ (in part because many "forget" the attribution requirement).

The idea of all these AIR advantages is nice, but the open source ethos involves developing in the open. Having invitation codes is a bad smell.
The US Senate just voted to allow toxic mining in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. This will permanently destroy one of our rare nature sanctuaries. And for what... A few jobs? Some lobbyist payments to lawmakers? 😢

As Anthropic has publicly boasted that "Claude Code is 100% written by Claude Code" and the Supreme Court just said that AI works are not copyrightable, how is it possible that Anthropic has standing to issue a DMCA 512 takedown?
Shouldn't these notices simply be ignored (we're sorry you published your trade secret).
