Feeling sad and a bit depressed this evening. Don't know exactly why. I keep asking myself "What do you want your life to be?", which is a valid question. I just don't seem to have an answer. #mentalhealth

@davidcelis@xoxo.zone The same is true for translating, which is a craft that has already been taken over by AI. The real joy comes from decoding the meaning in the source language and then finding an equivalent that uses an appropriate register, style and tone to encode it in the target language. Unfortunately, the only jobs left nowadays are proofreading of AI output, and your are not allowed to change translations if you feel you could do it better. Only remove hallucinations and correct mistakes.

@kattascha@chaos.social Das ist allerdings wirklich kompletter Unsinn, den manche da verzapfen! Im übrigen denke ich nicht, dass Ängste gegen alles Chemische besteht. Heilpraktiker und andere Heiler propagieren ja auch die Nutzung von Vitaminen in hohen Dosen oder die Nutzung bioidentischer Hormonpräparate - alles reinste Chemie und von Pharmafirmen, die auch nur auf Profit aus sind. Hier geht es doch eher darum, eigene Wahrheiten als besser zu verkaufen. Wer die Deutungshoheit hat, hat Recht. 😉

In the end, what worked *a bit better* was to cut the yarn in random places and to rip it from there. Some worked fine, others required pulling the yarn through every stitch individually. 🙈 In the end, I was able to rescue most yarn, but some just couldn't be ripped.
