The Toot Wales privacy policy has been updated to include IPQualityScore LLC as a data processor. Due to an increasing amount of spam account registrations, we are using IPQS to review all new accounts to identify bots and SEO spammers.

We are still researching alternative IP reputation providers and will inform you if the data processor changes.

Why #TŵtCymru? Because old social has run its course. We've built a Social Web app. It runs on Mastodon, but it’s designed to talk to the entire open web - Bluesky, Pixlfed, PeerTube, WordPress, and beyond. We’re connecting Wales to the world, from Cardiff to Calgary to Calcutta. It’s a local identity with global reach. And with our friends at @newsmast we hope to see many more apps like this in the near future, more front doors for more communities.

@64bithero we will investigate and if we can technically remove some of these statements, we will. But to be clear, we require an email address, we show you the content you asked for when you open the app, and we monitor the basic diagnostics.
