I have 10 albums and a handful of EPs Bandcamp and don't currently have plans to leave (my calculus is subject to change at my discretion).
The number of people I see bashing Bandcamp artists because BC treats their employees like trash that have a ton of links all over their feed to Substack - an actual, literal Nazi-supporting platform - belies the noise.
To anyone who objects to me currently remaining on Bandcamp, go ahead and boycott my music. You weren't listening anyway.

So far every "free speech absolutist" I've ever known has been the kind of free where "I'm free to speak as I wish, and you are free to speak as I wish" type of absolutist.

@davidallengreen@mastodon.green I'm of the opinion that explicit threats should always be treated as though the person making them has the will and intent to carry them out, *irrespective* of whether they truly have that ability or not. I guess put me among the few that say both should suffer appropriate legal consequences.
Even the US SCOTUS (once upon a time) circumscribed the first amendment so as not to protect shouts of "fire" in a crowded theater and words intended to cause violence.
