I think it's finally time to take down my #IBM "IBM PS/2 Model 95" bar area. They made awesome table legs. Can't really justify keeping it in the dining room ... One final photo though

@sldrant@mastodon.social Yeah the timeout I just have to suck up without the native apps - it's the "log in, get told you're logged out, click log in again" cycle that's really irritating - especially when it's every day. I didn't have this issue with Notes ;-)

Sounds about right. Don't know if it's a specific problem when third party authentication is used but it often does this then when you ask it to re-auth again it goes to the third party ID provider, realises it's already signed in and starts working without further authentication.
At least it's not just me ...

But in all seriousness, this is a great approach from #bose. Full marks (even if, as per your other comment, the firmware isn't equally open!)
This is a real problem which I totally get and analogous to how I use favourites on Mastodon(which I fon't go back very often unless they're recent ones)
Thinking about it I now want an ActivityPub server I can store these to, whike adding tabs, and a browser plugin to post to it ...

It really sucks wheb you considsr a domain name and find that either:
a) It's registered and redirects to some random other site
b) It just doesn't seem to be responding as an http server when you go to look at it.
What's the point in having a good idea when the netbis like this?

@hrw@society.oftrolls.com Did you have a try of using taskset to limit the cores used by your build work instead of cgroups? I use that on my x64 laptop to ensure I have leftover cores so build don't get in the way of music and desktop/web work so much.
I've been considering/experimenting with cgroups this week too but so far I'm unconvinced but maybe it just needs more tweaking
