I built some playbooks to help evaluate the success of interventions on behalf of things like succession planning, governance, moderation strategy and more; based on industry knowledge, standards and metrics. MANY talented open source experts available to do this work as well

I am increasingly conscious that writing and building for the Commons is not what it was.
My work (like most written and published openly) is subject to being harvested, absorbed and summarized into AI systems without reciprocity or consent. Until better standards exist for how that value exchange works, I need to move to a sustainable model for writing and sharing.
People are engaging w/ my #opensource sustainability playbooks (yay) on GitHub, but did you know, they are also presented as services on https://oss-wishlist.com/catalog ? The catalogue includes description of 'impact' for business perspective to help advocate for budget (employee or funded time).

The future depends on a continuation of democratization of technology, which is not where #AI is taking us right now - and certainly there is no indication that 'open source' licenses will change that (sorry). By that I mean that no matter how 'open' the AI stack says it is, one cannot change the output, I cannot trace a license, I do not know how to influence behavior or guardrails
Backing up my trailer (into a campspot) brings out every dad and grandpa in the area - offering to help. I'm a Pied Piper of sorts.
What seems most lacking is helping users practically understand #AI's output in the context of human values, and giving them the ability to change or challenge what they see; To be actually open
