A couple of weeks ago I realized I was just sitting around waiting to find another day job that I don’t really want anyway. So I've decided to take an honest stab at building custom furniture full time 🎉
If you happen to be in the Twin Cities area and have a #woodworking project you need help with, let me know!
Yesterday I gave a talk at Minnebar here in Minneapolis. It was originally just going to be about the #woodworking stuff I do in #blender3d, but kind of spiraled into a whole thing about creativity and learning new things. Really happy with how it turned out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t894wUgLDgM
An underrated aspect of starting a furniture business is never having to pretend to give a shit about AI ever again.
I've been making a lot of progress on this Shark guy + moped. Finally got the rigs figured out and can now start trying to animate something 😄

@humdrum@social.lol I have not shipped large things yet, but I’m open to it. Still mostly focused on getting some early client projects going haha
Shipping a product like shelves could be an interesting thing to try at some point too! I’ve made lots of these little ones that could easily batched out 🤔
@thibaultamartin@mamot.fr thanks Thib!
@thibaultamartin@mamot.fr yep! Started in earnest a month or so ago, and it’s been going well: https://afternoondesign.co
