I don't accept the biased hype that AI is inevitable. Very few things are, and there aren't reliable reasons to support AI's inevitability. Most things in public life, in fact, involve layers and layers of choices by people somewhere - maybe even yours and mine, eh?
Once we know contexts, harms, (the few) benefits, and facts around AI, shouldn't that knowledge inform our choices to act where we can?
That doesn't sound like purity culture. That sounds like awareness, agency, and praxis to me.
Based on my experience from 10+ years ago, this was a really cool place to work with caring people that truly cared about access.

Seems like two really helpful resources for community building and voting resources. I was just on a call with Count Us In, and they feel like an authentic and well-organized group doing much needed work.
Good practice with accessibility, too, as they included ASL interpretation and kicked off AI note taking bots!
