@aeva@mastodon.gamedev.place @cwebber@social.coop If it helps, what I really miss from C++ when coding in C are a standard hash table implementation, and references. For dynamic arrays, having a basic implementation in C using realloc is quick to learn & can, but doesn't have to be generic. Lua can help for hash tables because it includes a good enough implementation. But you have to manage the seam between C and Lua, which is pretty elegant, but it's still two different layers of execution. (… I might miss std::ranges too)
