woke up out of a deep slumber panicking because i left the window open and the cat jumped out. dear reader, it was a dream. the window is closed because it’s 49 degrees outside and Beauregard is sleeping in the laundry basket. back to bed with my tired ass, good lord.

My cat just woke me up by JUMPING ON MY FACE, was surprised I woke up when he did that, then had the audacity to pretend he did not do that and is now laying next to me. Good afternoon, I guess?

wild thing about owning an LLC now is that the feeling still hasn’t set in, and it has been a few days now. it’s a real thing we did! we did that!! i know that novelty will wear off eventually but like… man, this has been a dream since i was 14. i’m enjoying it while it lasts.

.@Tigstahh@mastodon.social and i are excited to announce that Rogueport Media LLC has formed as of today. words can’t begin to describe how emotional i am right now. owning my own company & being able to make things with the people i care about has been a dream of mine since i was 14. 9 years in the making, it’s real and i cannot believe it. we own a company. WE OWN A COMPANY! i am in tears.

Here's all of the info I could gather for #TomodachiLife: Living the Dream following the Direct today. Also including some screenshots from Nintendo of America's press release. I'll update the article as more info comes out, as well! https://kakariko.link/l3vyejbh

@chiefgyk3d@social.chiefgyk3d.com I don’t think my Twitch is large enough to do 1440p streaming to so that’s why I’ve avoided it until now. Local records in 4K are nice though for VOD saving. I don’t do simulcasts like you do. I also have the limitation of having only one GPU to work with which I’m starting to wonder is a bottleneck or not.

LLC Update: We think we're almost ready to file paperwork, but we're going to need another few weeks to finalize things. Such is the way of legalese! Now here's a cool update for you... After some trial and error tonight, I've set up "couch cam" which is probably going to be the camera angle you'll see the most on @kakarikoherald@mastodon.social and my personal channel. (1/2)

Listen, I wouldn’t be complaining as hard if I didn’t already have like 29,000+ things stored in my media library. I am still digging for what I’m actually looking for, this is insane.

Okay, there *were* two videos in there that I was looking for, and I do understand why it couldn’t find those. But my argument still stands. Search is fundamentally broken everywhere else. I think we’re focused on the wrong technological advancements right now, honestly.

@gedeonm@mastodon.social Some good news! Not sure if you remember, but I've been working on that video series project in the background for some time? Well it kind of evolved into something slightly more, and now my friend Tyson and I are filing LLC paperwork. Point being, I may have a bit more to show you soon if you're up for it. It's just... way more than videos now! (I'm actually trying to learn Swift, actually, for one of the ideas we had. It's going poorly lol)

In the meantime, I'd like to thank you so much for your patience and support as we get the paperwork ready for this. I know some of you have been pushing me privately for years to do this, and I'm grateful to have a friend and business partner in @Tigstahh@mastodon.social to do it with. We're looking forward to sharing the final announcement in the coming weeks.

With my image/video search rant out of the way, there was something I wanted to share that's important to me. I can now say with full confidence that -- before the summer -- you're going to see Rogueport Media form into the LLC we've been talking about since the end of January. Now the important part. To my clients, some of you have been wondering why I haven't been able to take on your work *so far* this year.

I wish searching was a little more reliable though. I knew what was going on in those photos, but they hadn’t been indexed in quite the way where I could use natural language to locate them. It just told me there weren’t any results if I tried. Kind of a bummer.
