In a spot of good news, I finally finished this round of edits on the third book in my Stone Age epic science fantasy series! Now it gets sent to the probably-final round of betas, and my editor is already looking forward to getting it in a few months!

@bigzaphod says I need to point out my specific book, which is https://skaeth.itch.io/beneath-the-gods-tree This is a #LowFantasy wilderness adventure with a bit of romance. It has #LGBTQ rep, #Disability rep, and #MentalHealth rep including: gay side characters, a non-binary tertiary character, main character anxiety rep, and disability also including a side-character who uses a wheelchair. There's strong friendships & a strong sibling relationship, with tons of banter, but also a lot of classism and prejudice.

Speaking of @bigzaphod@mastodon.social -- you might not know this about him, but he's a great table-top campaign idea generator. Basically our system is: he gives me an idea seed (possibly partially fleshed out, partially not) and I turn it into a campaign and DM for the kids.
Yesterday the boys groaned with laughter when they realized the quest was a scavenger hunt. They had a blast finding and collecting "treasures" (trash) for the tiny (HUGE), cute (MAGNIFICENT) dragon Jeff who really just wanted friends. 😂

@bryanschiele@mstdn.social @bigzaphod@mastodon.social Wow, thank you so much! You got the whole set! I hope you enjoy them. Windward's a little faster paced, and then my Stone Age epic fantasy is a little more slower paced, but also more immersive with a dash of science fiction here and there.

@curtismchale I wonder how much will change in your perceptions on a re-read! Do you often re-read books?
