@faineg@mstdn.social It’s like when UK investigative journalist Stacey Dooley started presenting a TV make-up competition and got flak for it — ‘I’m still quite a young person and I’ve spent my whole career so far reporting on pimps, drug dealers, arms dealers, and gang leaders; I deserve a holiday’ she defended herself with. I don’t think I’ve seen her do any investigative shows since — and who can blame her?
