Music fan. You can see stuff I like or am curious about at https://bandcamp.com/saucer (even though I now use Qobuz or Apple Music most of the time because their streaming players sound much better and they’re not anti worker, as far as I know)
Pretty serious about meditation and pretty crap at it.

by the way i must thank @ogili@mastodon.social for one of the very best vortex themes (as evidenced by the effing amazing selections contributed) in my time with #listeningClub

@soundclamp thank you! had no idea Michael Stipe had a musical sister, and never heard of the band or album. eye/ear/mind opening pick. #listeningClub
with the apparent obscurity of this, curious if there's a Messthetics something or other with this band https://www.discogs.com/label/507785-Messthetics

@eastvanhalen ah, that’s roughly the era i was picturing. kind of all over the place… my first time hearing it… enjoyed most of the parts a bunch, and appreciated the whole being greater than the mere sum. thank you! #listeningClub
Kash Patel and the rest of the fucking Trump clown car are an embarrassment to evolution
this chaos is a sign of trump’s psychosis. state department says americans must evacuate the persian gulf countries, and all the airspace is closed.
Ai Weiwei on the Leading podcast for 22 March 2026:
Unfortunately, we have happiness and we have sadnesses, both human emotions. I'm living in a period of time, and in a location, [where] I see those tragic sadnesses, relating to individuals, very often being not to talk about. So as an artist, or not an artist, as a human being, I will think I have to protect my integrity.
[1,
god bless Rory Stewart and Alastair Campbell for continuing rational analysis of the trump cataclysm
but rational analysis has no purchase on psychotic process
to the many of us who learned this as children, I expect the current conversation is violently nostalgic
