All current issues of Seeds of Spring will be on sale this Saturday at @constellation@kolektiva.social I am really exited to finally be at this bookfair. Come by to chat if you are in Montreal this weekend.
Seeds of SPring is a serial YA comic, written by Chris Coquard, that I have been illustrating for a few years now. It's an adaptation of Peter Kropotkin's autobiography, the famous russian prince who rejected his noble titles to become a respected scientist, and humanitarian, who charted part of Siberia, escaped Russia's most feared prison, and is remembered as one the worlds most notable anarchist thinkers. The story is told from the perspective of a current day teenager named Naguset who learns to reconnect with her Mi'kmaq culture with the help of her grandparents. Both stories parallell each other in themes and juxtaposes current day issues with historical drama. (I also have PDF versions on my Ko-Fi) #anarchism #kropotkin #bookstodon #comics #zines #montreal #books #history #mastoart
I will be tabling at the @constellation@kolektiva.social book fair this year. (Hopefully, tornadoes won’t prevent me from going this time). I will have all 6 volumes of Seeds of Spring for sale. So, of you are in the Montréal area, feel free to come and say hi :) #anarchism #comics #kropotkin #books #montreal
I showed up a bit late, but my table is now set up for #constellation
These sets wouldn't be out of place in classic fantasy movies like Labyrinth, the Neverending Story, Star Wars etc. I love the devotion to practical film making that was done for this show. #inspiration #onepiece #opla

@helenbellmusic Or maybe he realised that he would stop more crime by using his wealth to help people rather than with vigilantism. :P

@Bibobach@mastodon.social I admit that she would make a good Nanny Ogg if she was in a witch outfit. This was a really fun commission for a DnD cleric. She was an eccentric nun who loves wine.

@len Yeah. Exactly this. I have a really deep fascination with the fantasy films that were made pre-cgi, that used puppets and practical sets, and I am so happy to see one of the comic series that made me want to draw comics fora living adapted in this manner. I have been actively looking at everything behind the scenes that I could find as well. Also, that they embraced the weirder elements of the comic rather that try to make eveything more generic.
