A lot of devs are obviously struggling with complex communication problems currently, so as someone with a modest linguistics background, I offer this helpful template: "We do not allow LLM generated code in our project's codebase." I give away all IP rights to the above sentence. It is free to use and reproduce.

Yesterday I downloaded Wikipedia to a spare SSD. With what's going on at Wiki Towers it seemed prudent.

It's actually pretty amazing to me (in a depressing kind of way) that people I have have known for years and who I consider to be intelligent critical thinking humans have been utterly taken in by the "LLM's have become conscious and will probably turn into SkyNet" narrative. It's so utterly preposterous to me but they're falling for it hook line and sinker. There's a real risk I'll lose friends over this because they think *I'm* the conspiracy nut for what they see as my stubborn scepticism.

OK fat shamers get blocked here. Yes even if you're fat shaming horrible people.

@MamaLake@beige.party That's so sad :(

@uc@mastodon.scot @Persona@todon.nl I can't imagine the Uruguayans will allow this.

@cmconseils@mastodon.social One of those 'sports' when're gender segregation makes even less sense that it usually does.

RE: https://urbanists.social/@tassiedi/117311133565613763 I did not know this, but the bike's had some action today and the EV has not moved so I reckon I've earned a cookie 😸

Some train driver in Hawkes Bay is having a lot of fun with their whistle.

Anyone else old enough to remember when KDE was cool?

@VeroniqueB99@mastodon.social That dog is a good ally!
