New career milestone unlocked! I have apparently been laid off by Meta. I do not and have never worked for Meta.

So I was laid off a month ago in the Block-alypse.

Honestly it's been kind of nice having the time. Had a surgery and spent a week in LA, now I've been enjoying walking around the Bay and finding cool new restaurants and this incredible patisserie. Slowly working on some personal projects and putting together what I imagine is a controversial opinion about how services should be configured and deployed. It's been refreshing to have the time for all of this.

I can't be the only one noticing how long I'm spending doing code reviews now right? Feels like things are being written faster than I can review them sometimes.

This new hair color has been so much fun! I get to walk around with a sunset on my head!

@quephird@tech.lgbt the earthquakes were mild but BARTs also been having a month so far.

Does anyone I know sell/make stickers? My new work computer needs some suitably queer art (or really just about any art) on it.

How long before we see an AI company announce a specific protocol for speaking to their LLM in order to ensure predictable outcomes?
