As a result of recent improvements to our compose process, we've significantly reduced our build time. This allowed us to have a fix for CVE-2026-64531 less than 3 hours after the embargo was lifted. Thanks to Jonathan Dieter for his work and to CIQ who so quickly made this patch available to us! 🎊

This Thanksgiving, we're grateful for everyone in the open source community who keeps the infrastructure running, patches bugs, tests builds, and shows up when things break.
Whether you're working on Rocky, Fedora, CentOS, or any of the projects that power the internet--thank you for deploying servers, packaging software, contributing code, and being there when it matters.
Happy Thanksgiving from the Rocky Linux team.
The beacons are lit, @osuosl@fosstodon.org calls for aid: 🚨 Oregon State University Open Source Lab will shut down this year if funding is not met. 🚨
Among countless other open source projects, OSL supports Rocky Linux by hosting our ppc64le and s390x build environments.
Please consider donating to #OSUOSL. Talk to your organizations about the open source software they depend on that in turn depends on OSL, and ask them to consider donating.
A group of us had the opportunity to attend SCaLE23x last weekend.
The best part? The people! Thank you for the conversations, the stories, and the laughs. Your support means everything to the Rocky Linux community.
