@Alice I feel this way about the number 14. I don’t trust it. When I was in first grade, my teacher called my parents over my refusal to acknowledge the number 14 or the letter N in classwork.

I don’t mind parry mechanics in games. I think they can add an engaging way to mitigate an enemy attack. But I prefer when they are a bonus, not a necessity, and when you can slide the difficulty.
My cognitive processing time is slower than average, and unforgiving parry mechanics can become a game ending obstacle. Like, I really want to check out some soulslikes, but I also don’t want to spend money on a game I may bounce on a couple hours into it.
I may not be in the classroom anymore, but I’m praying for my Latiné families who came seeking a better life for their children. Those children are now grown and have children of their own (some I’ve even met), and I hope they stay safe while ICE is in our area.
I pray for their safety.
I pray that mercy, not cruelty or fear, may prevail.
I pray that fear and hatred give way to compassion.
Grateful for toot.community and also stressed about migrating my account. I have the official how-to open, so I hope that goes ok.

Let’s average the yearly cost of each dev at $150,000 (wages + benefits). That’s probably high, but I want to be generous here.

Happy #FinalFantasy X day! I can’t overstate how much Final Fantasy X (and Dragon Quest VIII) mean to me as a gamer.
I had essentially played the first Final Fantasy on the NES and then missed out on the entire SNES and PS1 era. FFX was my first Final Fantasy after something like 20 years away from the franchise.
Final Fantasy started my love of JRPGs. FFX reignited that love.
