The sparse "looks nice to me" comments about DLSS 5 get at what's fundamentally insidious about AI-generated art. It's gotten good at passing at a glance to untrained eyes, while still falling apart upon closer inspection. Good art is the opposite: it rewards attention and consideration.

Starting to see rumors about Windows 12, so here's a comprehensive list of everything I miss about Windows since switching to Linux Mint on my primary system last year:
Nothing.
Nada.
Not a damn thing.
The worst part about having a game that's escaped containment (read: "Is up for download") is having to balance the sentiments "I need to push the patch for this bug right the hell now" and "I need to be methodical about this so I don't break anything else in the process."
Important message to everyone on the internet: I do not care what ChatGPT says. If you cite ChatGPT in an article or post, I will to stop reading and consider everything I've read to that point to be random noise, i.e. refrain from assuming it has any correlation with reality, positive or negative.
It's in the news again, so some advice for developers: If you don't want to have to convince players you accidentally left AI-generated art in your game, DON'T USE AI-generated placeholder art. Placeholders should be glaringly obvious, not things you can miss while glancing over a scene.
To my bafflement, yet another person has actually earned my game's joke achievement, "It Was the Worst of Times". Y'all don't need to keep doing this! I again apologize for including it.
Anyway, The Amateur Deity Society is still on sale for $3 for a few days. https://youtu.be/tKbMscvgAxo

Someone recently earned what was hitherto the rarest achievement in The Amateur Deity Society! I have no idea who it was, but I'd love to know whether they got it by accident or if they knew about it beforehand.
(The rarest achievement was NOT the troll one that entails leaving the game on a certain screen for ~12 hours, btw.)
