This male-shaped waste of resources is offensive to the oldest craft by the virtue of existing.) who would make their granddad beat them up so bad for being an insult to manhood that they wouldn't be able to walk for next year on the other really makes me wonder whether universal voting rights are a good idea.
Before somebody jumps at me for being a Nazi ... Yes, universal voting rights are a necessity for healthy participation. But so are boundaries on what is acceptable in the political discourse.
And yes, if it wasn't more trouble than benefit, I'd happily commit a permanent facial reconstruction surgery on the fash-trash.
That said, even just looking at the choices feels like choosing between cancer, plague, STD or a repeated physical damage to my nuts so ...

Algo-speak is a language of fascism in my eyes.
It's dehumanising, culture-erasing (algorithms are biased to "White English") and disarming.

Do you know what's the saddest part about this AV Digital-Stasi bullshit? That the only people it protects are actual abusers.
How, you may ask? Well, in a place where there are no kids, no kid knows that they're being abused or handled as an abuse material. Because you know, to those people, kids = lesser beings/things/merchandise.
Introducing AV removes the kids' tools for self-defence. Because one can't defend themselves against the threat they don't know about and can't report to anyone. And keep in mind that abusers come from the circles closest to the kids. Because abuser needs to know the victim really well.
Think about it next time you think this crap is a good idea.

While I see "agent spec" files in project repositories as a massive warning sign if not an outright red flag (seriously, if your project is trivial, you don't need a coding equivalent of a blindfire missile), I sometimes read the spec markdown out of curiosity. And all I'm to say is: "Holy shit and I thought customers have no idea what they want."

Ok, what's the performance metric to maintain? Got a benchmark for reference? What are we measuring?
Correctness ... What's the definition of correctness for this project?

Tbh, my inner warning system with how I feel things are going (no personal crisis yet but you know, hope for the best, prepare for the worst) I'm starting to seriously consider something I always told myself to never do so it doesn't burn me out: I'm legit considering turning my art hobby, which I do for fun and sometimes as a form of self-therapy, into a side-job :vlpn_nervous:

Considering "meatspace" age check can't be done without an ID check, how do we expect to solve this in online space?
ZKP is either a "smokescreen" at best (anyone who has the resources can do the tracing and state actors absolutely have that) and a pointless exercise at worst (if the ZKP token is transferable then it makes the entire system useless).

This very much here. The moment you compare the Online AV to the "meatspace" AV, the ZKP approach turns out to be useless while being technically correct.
Yes, ZKP preserves privacy of the age check but the problem is it doesn't mirror the real-life process. Because when one shows their ID, the other party does BOTH age check AND ID check at the same time. The critical part is the data retention because nobody is indeed taking a copy of the ID or writing down the details UNLESS they have an explicit permission to do so (I think even banks aren't doing this these days anymore).
The analogy with the real-life equivalent of the token is in fact a neat example of why ZKP is not the solution in the end. Case in point, health insurance cards have a little note on them (at least in my home country) saying "This card is valid only when presented together with a valid identification document."
In the end, online AV with ID check is a massive privacy violation; online AV without an ID check is effectively useless (ZKP pretty much becomes a glorified "I'm over 18" checkmark).
So ... How long until I'm sent to proverbial "correctional facility" at work? :vlpn_nervous:
