Wishing I was at #scale23x this weekend! Been extremely busy moving hundreds of @osuosl@fosstodon.org servers to a new data center over the last 3-4 months. Thankful we're almost done with the move. Just one more week left!

Woohoo! Finally got a Gitlab runner working on one of the @osuosl@fosstodon.org riscv64 nodes!

Today in #osuosl land:
- Interviewed two students for our open student positions
- Reviewed 10 new applications from over the weekend for that position and sent emails
- Replied to ticket emails from over the weekend
- Looked into issues with new @postmarketOS@fosstodon.org gitlab instance with regard to direct migration not working
- Worked on getting one of the LicheePi4A #RISCV nodes running on vanilla #Debian with a vendor kernel
- Assembled one of the #BananaPi BPI-F3 #RISCV nodes

- Attempted to replace a dead iDrac module on a Drupal.org server but failed 😔
- Replaced nagios server with a machine that has more cores ✅
- Onboarded first of 4 new student hires 🎉
- Continued prep work on mailing list migration to newer server 📨

- Had a meeting with a #Cinc community member to discuss recent changes to Chef Infra Server adding telemetry
- Deployed a fix to nagios disk alerts to ignore some docker paths
- Deployed GitHub/Gitlab oauth logins for the @postmarketOS@fosstodon.org Gitlab instance & also setup mail to relay through their MTA
- Had a meeting with a vendor concerning the possibility of free bare metal hosting for @osuosl@fosstodon.org
- Deployed #Debian on all 7 #sipeedLicheePi4a #RISCV nodes in the cluster

Last few days at #osuosl:
- Switched one of the ppc ceph osd nodes w/ a HW RAID card, showed significant performance improvements! Ordered more cards for the other nodes
- Fixed a failed VM resize from P9 to P10
- Finished a PR to add radosgw support to our #ceph cookbook
- Made a PR to sync up our new #Chef managed #mailman VM. Hoping to migrate off the legacy system soon!
- Moved #Debian #mipsel motherboard to spare Supermicro case as the old case has a bad PSU & is not rack friendly

I really hope the company behind ClaudeBot (likely for LLM data) will finally figure out how to throttle their bot. For now, they're getting a global block on my infra until they do.
