I saw a conversation yesterday where a person said ‘Hey, I don’t like the idea of using Threads myself, but I can see the appeal of it for lots of people.’ A fella replied to him that those people are stupid and empathizing with them was stupid (paraphrased). That’s a special kind of mean. It isn’t the outwardly horrible stuff you can find on Twitter, but it is absolutely crappy behavior.

@DrPsyBuffy@mstdn.social The only thing helpful about those conversations is that it lets me know who to block because I don’t want to deal with that sort of behavior in the future.

@MissConstrue@mefi.social @Skepticat@mstdn.social It wasn’t until recently that I realized that my grandpa’s name was still on the utilities at my grandma’s house because they divorced in the 70s and it was probably a giant hassle for her to have her own accounts.
