@kevinrns@mstdn.social Thanks Kevin! that's actually done on purpose for two reasons:
we don't want to automatically inherit a pile of hashtags from the posts we're boosting, as that creates a mess of hrefs for the reader.
We can end up in an endless loop because, for example, we boost anything tagged #FSF automatically.
Removing the hashtags entirely or altering the # to another character makes many posts difficult to read. So this is our compromise solution.
