A lithop in bloom. It will take another 9 months to produce a single seed from the flower.

mastodon 4.8.0-alpha.3+glitchHack to learn, don't learn to hack. My first sysadmin gig was a shiny new Dec Server & OpenVMS. I've watched a parade of OS's & their versions come and go. There were some good ones, some bad ones and some you never want to see again ones.
I've been playing musical instruments a little longer than I've been computing.
Contents include but not limited too:
computers, music, books, humor, dogs, cats, all the creatures, plants/gardens, guitars, keyboards, woodwinds, puns, puzzles & anything technically intricate.
I am a fan of talent.
Let Deeds Match Words
I don't know what the answer is but I'm sure it begins with kindness.

Wow, I had no idea that Sinead O'Connor, and most of The Band played with Roger Waters.
When it came out, The Wall spoke to me at that point in life. Still a favorite! This is a great rendention of a classic.

Life according to Curly
Y'all come up here about the same age. Same problems. Spend about 50 weeks a year gettin' knots in your rope.
Then you think two weeks up here'll untie 'em for you.None of you get it.
Do you know what the secret of life is?
- No. What?
This.
- Your finger?
One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and everything else don't mean shit.
-That's great, but... what's the one thing?
That's what you gotta figure out.
