@davidhmccoy @The_Whore_of_Blahbylon I bought one in 1978. It got up to 30 mph, which was the legal limit. IIRC, I got 100 mpg out of it. I had to mix the gas and oil. It was a filthy 2-stroke engine, so I was probably putting way more pollutants into the air than a car did per gallon burned (except for carbon).

@moonglow I have cataracts, double vision, low contrast, laser hole, and some other problems. For me, the most readable font is Verdana. I know that's a Windows font, but I have it on the Mac (is it installed by default? I don't know.). I've tried a bunch of the fonts that come with the Mac. Verdana is the best. I also like a heavy-stroke Courier. Monaco is good. Arial Bold is good for readability of headers or at any sort of distance.

@leaf@fursuits.online For me, one thrill is I don't expect to see them in cities. They've carved out their niche on the periphery, though. One time I was taking a shortcut across a field. A coyote ran right in front of me, no farther than ten feet, chasing ground squirrels. I saw another crossing the street at ~9:00 PM a couple of weeks ago.
