Our solution builds on research by Alwen et al., using Puncturable Pseudorandom Functions (PPRFs) to allow multiple group states to coexist securely.

This means:

• No need for a central ordering service
• Maintain Forward Secrecy even with forks
• Better support for decentralized messaging

@tmarble @airmessenger You are right to point that out, but the invite codes are just for the main instance. We are developing in the open here: https://github.com/phnx-im/air and anyone is welcome to run their own clients/servers. We just wanted to scale thing slowly four our instance.

@Okuna We currently don't have good enough documentation to guide you through the self hosting process but it is generally deployable on Linux as well.

@Okuna If you want to self hosting, yes. Otherwise, we have a limited beta on our server currently.
