penwing (they/them)

🎶Oh woah oh🎶 🎶Video killed the radio star🎶 #TotP

Ooooh... Did I summon Blondie earlier 8-) #TotP

Oh god... Heather Small with Proud... Another everywhere and seemingly neverending song... #TotP

And we're back to trash... Well... Trasher... "Oriental" - yikes #TotP

@losttourist@social.chatty.monster I was 16 when this episode aired.. nearly 17... Thanks for your kind thoughts 8-) #TotP

Ten teams, two runs Someone is missing... Barcelona on twice #TramEM

Oh, it was Kevin and Perry (I was close on guessing the name but couldn't tell whether it was actually Enfield or not earlier) It'll certainly take a miracle to get out of this slump... #TotP

London not in top twenty after twenty teams (including them) have their second run... #TramEM

Well... The Casualty theme tune is very recognisable... #TotP

Somehow I missed The Bluetones entirely. I was at a festival a few years ago in Nottingham and Bluetones were headlining the second stage and Blondie the main stage... My cousin chose wrong and then left me there to get back to my Aunt and Uncle's on my own... (Scissor Sisters were on before Blondie - was an excellent lineup) #TotP

What have I done to deserve this episode? Does it constitute some form of cruel and unusual punishment? #TotP

Well, I've seen what Legs and Co are dancing to this episode and... Well... #TotP

The undercover bobbies aren't hiding very well... #TotP

"winning by a landslide every single week" what did you win last week Jayne? What? Oh god... I hope they haven't decided he it again... But... Are we catching up with the performances Britney owes us? Back to the start... #TotP

This guy can perform 8-) Simple but effective #TotP

@wvmann@wandering.shop I was looking to upstage those "Sex Barm" Wiganers... #TotP

Waiting for @wvmann@wandering.shop to share the Sex Barn article... #TotP

Tom Jones... I am not going to throw my knickers at you #TotP

OK... I misread the start of this video as Sting as a student fantasising about Sting as a somewhat underdressed teacher with an odd cane... #TotP

Well, this is awful and being made worse... A jockstrap is closer to a thong than Siscqo will ever dare to wear though... #TotP

If we're going with Europop, can we get Aqua back? #TotP

We do not talk about plans for Nigel in public or via electronic means... #TotP

Oh great, I'm back in ti e for Dane Bowers (was he is Blue), a teenage stereotype Harry Enfield sketch with Theakston and then Oasis... Then Craig bloody David... I missed Hanson? Was it a repeat? #TotP

Budapest was missing last time I think.. #TramEM

Scooch... Didn't we send them to Eurovision at some point? And still let them into the recording studio? #TotP

If anyone of those backing dancers want me to treat them like candy... #TotP

Let's go... Legs and Co as bits of dust? Actually... It's not bad... Or maybe the song elevates it... #TotP

Such a performance there too 8-) #TotP

Oh ooooooooooh woah woah woah (Or something) *Boogies* #TotP

🎶Hey mambo, mambo italiano🎶 *Boogies* (not sure why...) #TotP

Na na na na na na na na nananana Some dance music in the chippy... I'm sure someone will recognise it Definitely not making it home in time for the start 8- but chips are being fried so...

I am done for the day... for the week... my brain is mush... I shall fix this by watching truly awful early-00s #TotP re-runs tonight???

I'm imagining the #TotP health and safety person going "Pyrotechnics? Pyrotechnics?!? For Top of the Pops? Have Steps decided to turn evil or something?"

System F? This really does beg the question "what happened to systems A through E?" #TotP

I am still amazed I forgot the dance version of the Casualty theme tune... Not because it's good, but because it... Well a dance version of the Casualty theme tune... But the lead singer looking good tonight... #TotP

Oh, yes! I remember this from #TotP past...

Shake that booty! *Sings along* #TotP

Two actual Britney performances in two different outfits... What is going on? Well, I think the backing dancers may be wearing the same clothes... #TotP

Strictly should so have done a Salsa(?) samba(?) based on that performance and those outfits... #TotP

Oooh, that chair choreography... Come From Away choreographer was inspired... https://youtu.be/TfkSHGw5Svw #TotP

Hmmm... And it ended quite homoerotically too? #TotP

Better music than Eurovision... Not a high bar and I don't have high hopes of you clearing it... But The Bad Touch may well help... #TotP

Well tonight started off worse than awful and got much better... #TotP

There was a wonderful Toploader? Whatever happened to them and why did the shit one get so big? (Tbf, they were OK at first...) #TotP

Ooh... Who let these women sing? This is actually painful... #TotP

Who Wants to Live Forever... Please play it! Or Sinitta... Or did we use up all the good on Ottawa, Amazulu and that Funkmaster guy? #TotP

@losttourist@social.chatty.monster some of us had a FunFax with a mostly empty address book in it... Not in 1979 though, I wasn't even born... #TotP

Bad Touch and Thong Song? #TotP really is spoiling us tonight... No, no spoiling... Destroying our resolve... That's the one...
