I have a new mental model for thinking about AI LLMs. They are average sentence generators. If you ask them to generate a sentence in a field you’re below average in, you’ll be impressed. If you’re above average, you’ll be underwhelmed. This fits perfectly for every time I’ve ever used an LLM.
I got a message this week that my profile fit a great job opportunity; data architect in Belfast. I wonder what it was about my CV of two decades working in London not as a data architect that fit so well…
