Welsh Woodlands in the spring.
Paul Kinlan
I'm Paul. I work on Chrome @ Google, leading the DevRel team. Trying to help make the web better.
I live in Ruthin, North Wales.
Whatever the weather. Morning walks in North Wales are the best.
I'd love some feedback on a personal project.
I've been building a lot of claw-like agent projects recently (memory, tools as the base). I abstracted out all the common things that I do in to an API that works similarly to Anthropic's Agent SDK but built on the back of Vercel's pluggable AI-sdk so you can use any model in the agent harness you want.

Does this work for you? What would you change?
I'm pretty certain that web mcp has the opportunity to be everything that I wanted web intents to be and it's only possible since the invention of llms
I've started to think about what happens if LLMs get fast enough to generate browser functionality at runtime.

This is more of a speculative post, but we should have a discussion on the role of standards and eng in browser-land
Claude Code's growth is incredible. Yes their NPM growth is astounding, but more importantly people are using it to land code.
I did an analysis and found that nearly 5% of commits on Github are by Claude: https://aifoc.us/damn-claude-thats-a-lot-of-commits/
