This weekend is a big weekend for indie fantasy book sales. There's the SPFBO finalists sale and the Narratess Indie sale (not just fantasy).
SHADOW OF A DEAD GOD is in both sales, but the price has dropped early. Go grab it!

(And please repost this!)
Two big sales starting today: the SPFBO finalists' sale, and the Narratess indie April sale. Both featuring a large number of fantasy or SFFH books for an absurdly bargain price.

@stephenwhq@mastodon.social I prefer variety, and that's what I did for my short story collection. I don't really want to read a whole bunch of similar stories. The key is getting the balance and placement of the stories right, IMO.
@skaeth@writing.exchange Thanks, and you too!
@stephenwhq@mastodon.social There's a certain truth that the most commercially successful authors tend to stick to a particular niche. It's rare to have someone like Gaiman or Adrian Tchaikovsky who write more widely. But unless you're aiming for that single subgenre brand, I would go for a wider collection.
Why not the UK? Because we're a miserable, failing country with some of the worst press and lowest quality politicians in the world and so everything is crap.
Why has the ‘15-minute city’ taken off in Paris but become a controversial idea in the UK? https://www.theguardian.com/cities/2024/apr/06/why-has-15-minute-city-taken-off-paris-toxic-idea-uk-carlos-moreno
We're in the last day of the SPFBO finalists sale. Grab a bunch of some of the best fantasy ebooks for only 99c (or equivalent), including Shadow of a Dead God.
