okay so - putting aside the big relocation goal, we do need more immediate donations. i am down to less than $40 for food, and mom only has $18 in cash left.

in two days another payment to this hotel is due, and unfortunately we do have to stay here and safe while i work on getting us out of here.

okay - so while i'm trying to get help to stay here, i really need to prioritize getting us out of here too. there was ANOTHER shooting here at 4:30 in the morning so we are absolutely not safe.

on top of that the rate of this hotel has gone up dramatically, and for two days starting on the 11th it will be $234. it's getting impractical to stay here now, because i'm going to have to keep asking for more and more while having less and less time.

if we could get about $2600 we could go over to an extended stay hotel and pay for an entire month. we'd be in a place with a kitchen, and we'd be in a safer location.

i know that's a lot to ask for, but me and my family are not safe. things keep happening here and we are in legitimate danger.

okay so. this hotel is a little more than we anticipated, but given that it has a kitchen and we're starting to eat properly again, it's something i NEED to fight to keep.

the alternative is we're out of here and back to some shitty independent hotel ran by someone who allows it to fall apart. and we are NOT doing that again because it took us 8 months to get out of it.

also it's still a HUGE shot in the dark, but i would like to try to raise enough to leave here because by the end of the month the rate here is going to increase enough that at a minimum i'd have to consistently ask for $400 or more just so me and my family could stay safe for a couple of days.

so there's a very good chance that me and my family were about to be assaulted.

came back from the store and there was someone from outside wandering back and forth around in the hallway talking to himself, and he came damn near close to us as i was opening the door.

and mom could tell he wanted to go in our room and wasn't going to take no for an answer. called the front desk and he was escorted out, but he was definitely angry about it and the fear now is that he'll just come back later because they don't bother to keep an eye on who comes into this place.

this is the third fucking time someone has just helped themselves and wandered in because the ones who run this hotel don't bother to care.

hell, they downplayed a LITERAL SHOOTING and passed it off as a simple argument.
