@jwz@mastodon.social @xgranade@wandering.shop @zzt@mas.to Great browser, and then...gone...Quite odd. I use it most days still, just not on OS X.
Is it time to plan a 2026 exit from enterprise IT? I should pinch Cory’s term and rename the industry enshITification.
I wonder if there’s money is pre-2000 tech migrations. You know, taking people *back* to the 90s. Or 80s if you’re particularly hard core.

During the event Steve commented on their sales for the quarter, and then said:
“Now, what that means is that Apple is an over 50 billion dollar company. Now, I like to forget that, because that's not how we think about Apple, but it is pretty amazing.”
@decryption@aus.social I want a nice Tape Deck with audio input so I can make mix tapes. And then a decent ‘Walkman’.
I used to have a nice Yamaha one, but you know digital appeared.

@gutbomb@bitbang.social @smallsco@oldbytes.space Great analysis and comment. For me the IIsi was tricky. It was waaaaaaay cheaper than the other Macintosh II, so people *shouldn't* have judged it. But they did.
But gosh, the 2MB or 3MB RAM/40MB configuration was pokey.... And by the time you bumped memory to 5MB and maybe added a Nubus card to get the FPU, it started getting expensive.
I'll take one though. thanks :)

@marcedwards Doesn't it change depending on how many icons are in the dock? Mine are way out. (13 in dock, 6 columns on landscape screen, iPad Pro 11-inch)
Replying to
@marcedwards Maybe it was because they stayed the same size, and there was a maximum number of icons. Now you can jam about a zillion down there. Or did 18 also do that? Hmm.

@sdjmchattie @marcedwards Well, that makes sense. Now I’ll need to get my own measuring stick :)

@sdjmchattie @marcedwards It might be my eyes, but does the dock stay static when you tilt the iPhone, and the other icons shuffle a little bit side to side? Does that account for the misalignment?
@franksting@theblower.au Use glue and flip them over..
Short and sweet for 26.3 Beta 3

@gedeonm@mastodon.social That’s one of my tests for the stupid thing. The other is to get it to draw me a chessboard.

@kagihq@mastodon.social I'm about to receive a shiny new 2004 iMac G5 with Tiger. Please make Orion work on that ;) Thanks in advance, super work.
