I watched the first two episodes of the #kdrama #MyRoyalNemesis (멋진신세계)
So far it has been pretty solid rom-com with both the ML and FL being a bit delightfully unhinged. Great chemistry.
Looking forward to next weekends episodes.

#ATEEZ does do a Japanese version of some of their songs, but I wanted to call this particular song out as it was a special colab they did with the j-pop group BE:FIRST.
It is entirely in English and Japanese.
ATEEZ X BE:FIRST- Royal
(There is also the BE:FIRST X ATEEZ song Hush Hush which is quite good- but Royal is my favorite of the two colab songs)

The first few episodes of #GenerationToGeneration are out today.
In case anyone else is trying to decide whether or not to watch it- this is an adaption of a novel by Guan Xin Ze Luan (关心则乱). This is also the same author of the books that *Love like the Galaxy and *The Story of Ming Lan were adapted from.
Hopefully, this doesn't set my expectations to high. 😊

@JillsJoy Lot of discussion online by those who were strongly Team Ji Feng or Team Tan.
I’m with you- Team Neither One. Miyu to rule them all.
Tan seemed okay/caring at first- but then started giving off this creepy vibe. Not listening to what she wanted, but trying to push her back into the rich man’s wife and accessory role- just “his” wife this time (what he wanted). Ji Feng at least supported her plans, but could be quite off-putting at times.

@JillsJoy As someone who is not always the biggest fan of the “modern” #cdrama genre, am giving this a try as well.
Am finding it rather delightful. This, of course, is after I got past the first of couple episodes which required screaming at the tv “leave that lying cheating POS” at least a few dozen times.
It’s a nice change of pace having a bit more mature (agewise) lead actors who are both going through an inflection point in life but for different reasons.
Enjoying it so far.

@mmasnick@mastodon.social @adamghill@indieweb.social I really like this idea. I’m enjoying not having an algorithm from the standpoint of there is no reward for rage farming and allowing me to discover fascinating tidbits or random odd discussions that I otherwise would never have. But having an algorithm (or several) that I control or use to further delve the fediverse sounds like win-win.

@Sheril@mastodon.social I was thinking about this as I finished filling out my ballot (had close to 60 different races and measures to vote on). I was looking at who all endorsed each candidate and I found I gave no weight to who the 2 biggest papers in our state endorsed- because they were part of the problem and both had gone off the rails on facts/research vs clickbait and creating false narratives. I hope we can find a way back to our press being the fourth estate it is supposed to be.

@donieosullivan@mastodon.ie @drewharwell@mastodon.social Oh you poor dear sweet thing, if you still expect logic or rules. Write your appeal with some random Q’s, add some white rabbits, write utter nonsense, or at least insult the libs grandiosely. But then think about what you give up for your presence on the bird app and the abdication of our press as the fourth estate.
