In November I finally caved in and ordered a recliner. I am a stereotypical frugal Scot with a perfectly functional sofa that makes every part of me ache, so nobody saw it coming.
It arrived today and I can't believe how well rested I feel.

6 months off vaping today. Should've bought some shares in Nicorette.
#3GoodThings
* My Mum likes her flowers
* Supremely grateful for time to rest and recover, very little was expected of me this week
* Clean kitchen & Roast chicken
#3GoodThings
* Did a bit of research into NextCloud (proton not working quite as well as I'd hoped), looks promising!
* Went to the park and enjoyed being outside, it's been a long winter but the sun is still taking me by surprise.
* @niceman outdid himself with dinner again (mackerel and sweet potato with horseradish) and feel like eating more fish this week is already improving my skin
#3goodthings
* Coffee with my mum
* Blankets and hot water bottles
* My goat in Stardew is called Snongus
#3goodthings
* Inflation aside, the Bier Halle in Glasgow seems largely unchanged since my last visit 20 years ago
* Pizza & Neck Oil
* Signs of spring and only just needing my hat. Also, I love my hat.
Have been on a wild health journey the past few months and OMG I have old school, proper me energy today and if it lasts and turns out this is the answer I'm buying my pharmacist flowers or chocolates or what's actually a good gift for a pharmacist please?
Failed a captcha over 5 times today.
Years ago I got my gran a netbook, and one of her tech support questions was about captchas. I asked what she'd tried and she said she'd typed in "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME" but hadn't had a reply back. Honestly if there'd been a text box I would've done the same today.
Anyway she was the sweetest. She used to think Amazon hand-picked her book recommendations and was really pleased to get their emails. I miss her every day.
* Good weather, perfect walking temperature.
* Good smells! Incense at home and trees, grass on a local trail. Also, a massive bag of unwanted incense gifted by an old client has been keeping us going for over 2 years now. AND made some fresh surface cleaner from the lovely Nancy Birtwhistle's Clean & Green book with tea tree and citrus.
* Watched Sympathy for Mr Vengeance as part of our now-regular movie night. Weirdly I probably appreciated the quiet, incidental moments the most.
Cheers to whoever came up with this title 🍻

It's only 10:32 but I'm calling this Thread Of The Day.
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone. Last night I ruined a 56 day #connections streak because I don't play checkers or read American poetry. #Wordle in 5 because I was trying to be a smartass too.
