Good News! At its meeting on friday, the Joint Science Conference (#GWK) approved a new federal-state agreement (BLV).

This agreement governs the funding and future structure of @NFDI@nfdi.social starting in 2029. The federal and state governments plan to continue funding NFDI with up to approximately 98.7 million euros per year from 2029 to 2038. 🎉

From Project to Permanent Infrastructure: The DFG wants to secure the future of the NFDI

The Executive Board of the German Research Foundation (DFG) has published a new position paper on the future of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). At its core is a clear call: the NFDI should be secured for the long term and established as a permanent scientific infrastructure.
