This is in my top 5 favorite songs ever. The older I get, the more it resonates, too.

I post/boost a LOT of music.

That first time a guy I'd recently met made me a mix tape. We ended up together for about 6 years, and when I tell you that I STILL have this cassette, I'm not joking. It's a treasure to me, not to mention just a really great mix tape. This was the first song.

For some reason my brain won't cooperate with compiling a list of five songs with the theme Wild, but here's a cover of Wild Thing that I love.

I feel like it's kind of silly to use the word "unexpected" where Mike Patton is concerned, but his work with the Avett Brothers did catch me off guard.

The cuteness of bunnies (especially babies!) vs. the frustration when they keep eating your zinnia, sunflowers, and coneflowers. *Sigh* I hate to say it, but I'm missing having hawks nesting nearby. I even have chicken wire cloches around the flowers! Somehow they keep getting around them.

Me: It would be so dumb if I stapled my thumb while trying to refill this ancient, stubborn stapler.
Narrator, two seconds later: It was, indeed, dumb. And surprisingly bloody.

For this #Caturday, we have Josephine still diligently helping the Big Bear eagles with their nesting. She's grateful for the livestreaming technology so she can check in daily. And one extreme tortie close-up of Lucy snuggling on my lap a little while ago. So many biscuits were made.
I think Mother's Finest is one of the best bands to ever come out of Atlanta, and Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy's vocals are just fire. Hard rock with a pure funk foundation =

Three good ones for me. I meant to watch the sequel to the super fun Heroic Trio as somehow I've never seen it, but the days got away from me.
Velvet Goldmine is a glorious mess of a movie that I return to again and again. The music is awesome. Burn After Reading was definitely fun, too.

@AncTreat5358@lgbtqia.space Yikes! I guess I should be grateful it was only a standard staple.

My hobby this time of year is visiting garden nursery websites and filling my cart, then closing the tab because who can afford that? So many pretty plants, so little money. And energy. And heat tolerance (me, not the plants.😆 )
I slept stupid late today and now I feel like my whole day is wasted. Gonna go find some cat-hair-coated dust bunnies to evict or something so it's not a total wash.
Just called a lawyer for a consult appointment to see about helping me get my will together, and they had a whole list of "intake" questions that I wasn't mentally prepared for. Thankfully I was able to bumble my way through. My heart is still racing. Ugh, anxiety. People-ing is hard.
I dig the jangly guitar vibe so much.

@gutenberg_org@mastodon.social I am currently finishing up Ken Liu's The Hidden Girl which has been enjoyable.
Among my many favs of all time are Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke, Pullman's His Dark Materials, and A Fine and Private Place by Peter S. Beagle.

@dgar I have quite a few of the records I bought as a kid/teen, but currently have no player. I've resisted diving in to buying/collecting new vinyl because I know that as soon as I do, it's going to absolutely eat my budget. 😆 But it's so tempting!

@curtisysmith@denton.social Lol, it's not is it? I only remembered because of posts on my feed. 😆
Yay, something flew up my nose with extreme velocity while I was using the weed trimmer and gave me a nosebleed. I'll either be fine or I don't even want to count all the worst case scenarios going through my mind. 😅
Made myself feel old remembering that this song is 20+ years old. 😅 Anyway, it reminds me of a road trip mix I made for driving from Atlanta to New Orleans. It was the first song I added because I did indeed leave in the morning.
