NekoMimi Akiko[耳子]
Hewwooo!!!! it's the silly catgirrrr on the interwebz! :3
Meet me, NekoMimi! the transfem catgirl maid :3c
Neko enjoys drawing from time to time and is extremely obsessed with all things IT, this includes low level hardware and software, networking, compilers, VMs, langs and interpreters, lots of CLI apps and also high level GUI apps and full-stack web dev (keep the JS out unless necessary qwq)
With her soldering iron and microcontrollers Neko manages to amaze you with absurd and useless contraptions :D
Neko isn't much of a gamer but she loves rhythm games, so much so that she has over 12 THOUSAND hours on the project diva series alone :3
Following Neko will provide your feed with tons of weird FOSS projects with weird names and occasionally some drawings, to proceed please paw at the follow button >w<
Also pwease #NoAI okie? >.< *points fingers*

A couple weeks ago I decided to make an oc for my bestie, I drew the base a while ago and today I decided to try colouring it
So umm I had to use both gimp and krita cause I needed to extract the line art from the base picture
But hey I like being able to use as many layers as I want :3
This used about 20 layers on krita and exceeded 1GB of ram something my phone would DEF not be able to do :'3
This time I tried playing with blending modes and using complementary colours and I love it so much!
Sure it's not really good as a drawing by any means but I had a lot of fun
Ignore the fill around the image, I noticed it late and didn't want to undo most of my work :'3
Also the pixely line art kinda reminds me of mindwave which is a nice bonus :3
eto... we made a thing :3
dont know how useful it is for most people but hey... it's a thing :3
Oh right
Also made neat private thing
So instead of manually building deb packages for each project I have I instead now use my custom repo watcher that listens to new commits in which it then pulls the repo and builds the project automatically then move the deb files to the local Deb repo pool
After all projects have been checked it will create a new deb repo with the release files and signing then it'll zip it and send it over to an API on my site which updates the remote deb repo :3
This happens every 5 minutes and only when a new commit is detected :3
Might be over-engineered but hey it's fun and I get to free my attention from one more thing :3
So umm...
Would you like a custom encrypted vault (USB stick) that you can only access using NekoFS and your password?
I'm thinking of implementing that next into the FS but honestly it could just be its own thing
I'm still trying to think of other useful things to add so do please suggest any that you might find useful
And umm, the code is available if you'd like to peek :3
https://github.com/NekoMimiOfficial/NekoFS
We might be doing something interesting
Cause Neko seems to always pick peculiar ideas to make :'3
So how about a filesystem? :3
Yes, a filesystem :3
Wait.. a filesystem? Isn't there like a gazillion of those already?
Ah good catch! This isn't a regular filesystem that stores files but a virtual filesystem that allows you to do actions by interacting with virtual files!
It's like accessing data from APIs but in lower level that removes the need to implement the network requests in apps, might be useful if you have some weird language or app with no network support? Like umm... Anything that doesnt have libcurl or sockets? Idk :'3
Well anyways it's not for that reason that this was made
But rather to make file operations that most people do faster
You can drag a file to a folder and congrats it's now shared using a file pastebin
You can read memes too ig? Tho that was for testing idk if I'm keeping it
And umm... You're free to suggest ideas I can implement into this please do :'3
after seeing someone try this on discord i decided to give it a shot
and umm... yeah :3
gotta train my voice more tho
You might think that Neko thinks of the next update after she releases a project publicly
Well yeah maybe for a couple hours
But then... Neko gets kinda a bit too excited about yet another idea to implement and starts working on it right away :3
So umm... You mean to tell us that you're working on something else right after you released NekoFS?
YES!!!
Now I'm still working on NekoFS and I have a couple of things implemented and needs testing but for now hear me out on this new project
Have you ever looked at DeskThing and wondered if there's a better alt that isn't as bloated and is a lot more stable yes DeskThink... Stable.... I would like it if I could open a single plugin on you...
So umm we present to you Nexle! The display that you can access from any device anywhere and on as many devices as you want at the same time
Using this wonderful technology we render a framebuffer that is accessed by all of the clients at anytime
Said framebuffer is modified via plugins that do virtually anything
You should and can run doom on it, tho I need someone to contribute that as a plugin first :'3
The possibilities are endless and the readme is fun to read :3
I try to make them all enjoyable kay? :'3
