Just dropped v1.0 of my little direnv helper: https://github.com/Mic92/direnv-instant
It makes direnv non-blocking with tmux/zellij/wezterm/kitty support to provide instant shell prompts by running direnv asynchronously in the background.
Check the 1min demo in the project to see how it works.
I created over Christmas a new more reliable method to package binaries with Nix: https://github.com/Mic92/wrap-buddy
This is a drop replacement to `autoPatchelfHook`. Instead of complex patch operations on the elf sections, it replaces the entry point of an elf binary to it's own minimal loader, a bit like how the UPX loader works. Advantage of this approach is that, the layout of the binary at runtime is fully preserved.
I gave my old PhD project a complete overhaul: https://github.com/Mic92/cntr/releases/tag/2.0.0
cntr lets you use your host's debugging tools inside any container. The previous version relied on FUSE to make this work, but Linux 5.2 introduced a more powerful API that makes FUSE unnecessary. The new implementation is much simpler.
