@snazzyq They must have sold SO many Walmart M1's that they made an entire product line for it to keep that income flowing.

@ellane@pkm.social Yeah for some reason, just defaults to incorrect file names 🤷🏼‍♂️. I've made peace with it i guess. The shortcuts have decided what files will be named now

@stroughtonsmith@mastodon.social I think the Ipad was abandoned as a computing platform, and pivoted to a content consumption device for the masses. It's nice they gave some toys for people to play with but Apple gave up on it a long time ago as any sort of computing platform. Agreed they need to get it's shit together. The hardware is so nice, but i rarely use mine, because i dont wanna be a couch potato.

@ellane@pkm.social These are great! i struggle with the file paths from shortcuts to obsidian, but i have something similar! Thanks for sharing

@ellane@pkm.social Another great article! Thank you for taking the time to write it!

@imyke@myke.social And with that post, Myke retired his iPad and bought a Macbook Neo

@_Davidsmith I don't think i've ever been as excited for an app update.

@marcoarment Yes, a real shortcut on "is this place worth returning to"

@ellane For people using windows they can look into PowerToys, it covers a lot of what some of the tools listed in this post do: https://ellanew.com/2026/04/06/ptpl-202-replacing-setapp

@lensco@mastodon.world @atpfm@mastodon.social

@siracusa I suspect it is placating Elon/administration

@dmoren@zeppelin.flights I've read parts of your books and really enjoyed them. havent gotten a chance to sit down and finish them, so happy to have another in the queue! Thank you for your work!

This is a very difficult thing for me to remember.

RE: https://mastodon.online/@9to5Mac/115548344573973115 @9to5Mac@mastodon.online I refuse to believe this isn't just because people want to make fun of it.

@film_girl That was fun!

@davidimel no charging port?

@ismh86 @viticci Ultra should be the name of a more "rugged" version like the watch. Change 'Max' to the folding version.

@_Davidsmith Thank you for making such great software! Use it everyday!

@dan@duck.haus man that was a great time period in music. Fantastic riffs.

@512pixels@eworld.social I am not surprised......

@ismh86@eworld.social @_Davidsmith@mastodon.social i didnt know a pedometer app would be one of my hypest releases so far in 2026 but it is!!!

@alexcox@mastodon.social I remember kids clamoring over the colors in school.

@davextreme@mastodon.social @jsnell@zeppelin.flights I'm always surprised when people 'watch' podcasts. I think more than anything its the ubiquity of Youtube distribution ability. How often do people have access to a web browser and can leave something open in a different tab. Very little of people "watching TV" is even looking at the screen 100% of the time, but they are always at least somewhat listening. You couldn't watch 4 sports games at once without replays and such.

@hotdogsladies@mastodon.social great project thank you!

@DanMorgan@vmst.io I’m working through Walden right now. This guy certainly has some great lines that are still very relevant.
