Hi!

I’m working on FreeBSD support for MediaTek MT7623.

If anyone is interested in embedded/ARM development, kernel drivers and would like to join, you are very welcome.

Help with testing, code review, or development would be appreciated.

I have submitted an initial FreeBSD/arm64 review for MediaTek MT7622 / Banana Pi R64 support:

https://reviews.freebsd.org/D57732

This change adds the initial MediaTek platform configuration, a MediaTek-specific kernel config, integration with the arm64 GENERIC build, common MediaTek clock helper code, and MT7622 clock-controller support for topckgen, infracfg, audsys, ethsys, sgmiisys, ssusbsys, pciesys, and pericfg.

It also includes initial pinctrl support, UART support, and the required DTB/build glue. UART console bring-up has been tested, while the rest of the platform support will continue in follow-up changes.

Feedback and review are welcome.

I've managed to get Wi-Fi mt7615 working on the MT7622 under FreeBSD. 🎉

The driver is now functional, but it still needs more testing on different hardware and use cases.

If you have a Banana Pi R64 (MT7622 board) and would like to help with testing, I'd really appreciate it. Please let me know, report any issues you find, or send patches if you have improvements.

Any feedback is welcome! info: https://wiki.freebsd.org/arm/Bananapi
