I found this fun book at the #library. It seems like a very fediverse type book.😸 The author suggests trying the push-button combination lock first, though I have more priority projects that I should probably work on instead. #woodworking

By day I'm a software engineer writing mostly fast math libraries and doing other algorithm optimization. I like to hack on #guix and dabble with #forth and other programming languages and compilers.
Transportation best by #bicycling and bus.
I'm a collector of hobbies, primarily doing: #woodworking, #knitting, #crocheting, #gardening, bicycle repair, and occasional drawing and photography. I love a good wordplay.
Random toots; I try to only boost if AltText.

I inherited someone's nail and screw collection from the side of the road during spring cleaning. Included a few cut nails. If Etsy is to be believed, this might be a $20 or so find. /s #woodworking

First job I had, given the go to do some light pen-testing. Found a server connected to the company wireless network, which was easy to get on with a WEP cracker, whose admin password was "admin". That server had a local copy of the network group's password database, from which John-the-ripper had in under 2 minutes the passwords of the Director of IT, the CEO, both VPs, and several other department directors. Presented findings. When I left 2 years later those same passwords could still get me into those accounts.

@alice@lgbtqia.space I knew I was saving those bristles in my scrap metal stash for something, and now I know what! Thanks!
