Welcome back to work after 8 weeks to me!

Amazing how going outside in the yard for literally 10 minutes can help... everything.

My brain since the day of knee surgery: Marathon

Me: That's crazy. We just want to be able to get around normally and w/out pain again!

Brain: Marathon

Me: Ok, we also wanted to be able to run 3-5 miles regularly, like we used to.

Brain: Marathon

Me: WE DON'T EVEN LIKE RUNNING

Brain: MARATHON

I was super tired today and just wanted to lie on the couch, but instead I worked outside in the yard (like, worked at my job with a computer while sitting in a chair, not yard work lol) for several hours and I feel so much better for it!

Happy Extremely Violent Thunderstorm Season to all my fellow mid-Atlantic residents. 😭

Guys I think I might be starting to like broccoli??

My kid has been doing all the laundry since my surgery bc our laundry is in the basement, and honestly maybe I should remain injured for longer... 😂

While I was on the couch I heard the cat in the kitchen poking at a bag of dog treats I knew were on the counter. I heard a *thunk* and then the cat moseyed back into my line of sight. The dog ran to the kitchen and came back with a dog treat.

Friends, my cat gave my dog one (1) treat.

Not me getting to my knee surgeon appointment and realizing I still have half a (wrapped) granola bar stuck into my bra. 💀

IDK who needs to hear this but the new Olivia Rodrigo song "Drop Dead" is an absolute banger

June for some reason I guess

I'm drinking a fancy berry-flavored iced oatmilk matcha latte, and it tastes exactly like strawberry Nesquik.

Apparently my dog will eat Trader Joe's honey roasted cashews, but not Trader Joe's honey sesame cashews. 🤷‍♀️
