@xgranade generally I am very sick of the condescending attitude a lot of boosters tend to have about this. that because people are (justifiably!) upset about LLMs-in-practice, we're being unreasonable or hysterical (a word I use intentionally because it does feel like people mean that even if they don't say it). I would be inclined to grant more good faith if it felt like any came from the boosters. or if the net effect of "well hold on maybe the answer is in the middle / maybe we can open source models etc etc" wasn't just normalizing this stuff further, on a broader scale.

@dante@masto.posting.haus this is the digit on the monkey's paw curling for the most recent time I've said "I wish cis people would explore their gender more".

@IsDaGany@meow.social 🫂 🫂 🫂 you're gonna be all right.

@AmyZenunim I learned how to 3D model by locking myself inside Blender until I could make models I didn't hate to look at.

@Tealfuleyes love this

@slitherkitty@critter.cafe this fucking rules, thank you.

@foone@digipres.club hi alice!!

@LexYeen@plush.city we live in hell I think

@aeva gonna get that on my system as soon as they unfuck whatever's going on with arch's package. and def funding it when I've got funds. need a non-firefox I need my blood back inside me.

@aeva def sounding more and more seaworthy at least (which is why I've been missing testing on my system because of whatever Arch Nonsense). tbh I will daily drive as soon as I can install it again (though alongside waterfox).

@jdm_ will have to look into that, haven't been able to build it without glibc version weirdness and my eyes kind of glaze over whenever I look into the workarounds.
