My wife is watching the Netflix show "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and it's getting me PTSD as I'm remembering going through the book a few years ago. There are just way too many characters named the same and it was so confusing I had to write down the family tree on a sheet of paper to follow. People say it's a masterpiece but for me it was a painful experience.

Since the heatwave started I removed one piece of clothing on a daily basis and it worked for a while but today I'm just wearing the thinnest underwear I could find (and nothing else), tomorrow I guess I can go outside and find a leaf big enough to cover the family jewels and attach it with a string but I'm clueless on what to do the day after that, ideas welcome.

My immediate question: spinel_codegen.rb is over 22K lines. Isn't that way too big even for LLMs with large context windows? Here at work we are being told to minimize our source files, my project still has one over 5K lines and I sometimes see claude doing funky grep/tail invocations on it...
