People seem fed up with a multi-trillion dollar company's latest extortion scheme. Great, now is the time to start looking for alternatives! Most open operating systems are actually more usable and user-centric than the commercial ones ❤️

Look around, plenty of amazing OSes by amazing people: @fedora@fosstodon.org, @vanillaos@fosstodon.org, @elementary@mastodon.social and many more. Finding the one you love is actually fun.

You can even buy a laptop preinstalled if you don't want to deal with installation!

@spyke@mastodon.online at the end of the day, changing your habit to do the right thing for you and the world is hard. This is why people still eat meat, still buy unrepairable hardware, and still give most of their money to companies that are too big to care.
