These reactions are so common when someone shows up as transgender:
- Why are you like this?
- You weren't like this when you're young.
- (angry voice) Do you want to be a ?
- Ew
- some invasive sexual activity related question
(yes, I encountered/witnessed these IRL)
Why is deadnaming harmful to us trans people?
If someone happens to intentionally deadname us, that person is essentially saying:
- No matter what you do, you will always be named .
- I will not let you be named
- is not real. Only .
- You will never be a . You are a .
- Whatever your new name is, I will always call you
trans women are not just men wearing women's clothes and wigs

@jasonkoebler@mastodon.social As a student years ago, I was using 4 LMS'es: Canvas, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, and the university's self-hosted half-abandoned Moodle.
Canvas was a pain to use during the time.
