#digitalsovereignty #claudemythos

@teunvink@mstdn.social @bert_hubert@eupolicy.social my sincere apologies if this was meant as a joke and I simply didn't get it. But especially the advice to publish the value of your own password—even if it looks like an inconspicuous IPv6 address—in a public database such as the DNS seems to me about as smart as investing your entire fortune in AI stocks. If you have trouble remembering your passwords, you should use more modern alternatives such as passkeys, or use a password manager.

Migrating from #SAP Identity Management to any next generation Identity and Access Governance (IAG) solution, such as Microsoft #Entra, SailPoint or One Identity is difficult enough. If you're currently in a migration project, check out my blog at https://community.sap.com/t5/technology-blog-posts-by-members/migrate-data-from-sap-idm-to-anywhere/ba-p/14391221 to learn how to make the data migration part of the project feel much less like reinventing the wheel.

Are #AI #chatbots like #Google #Gemini actually engaging in surreptitious #advertising? When I enter the title of my current #OpenSource project into Google Search, the AI-generated response initially provides a summary that is, in fact, surprisingly accurate. However, when I asked the AI who might be suitable implementation partners for rolling out this #OpenSource tool in my company, the answer started to smell: the project's maintainers themselves supposedly offer NO commercial support, which is definitely FALSE. The README for my project clearly states the exact opposite. The AI goes on to say that I could contact or , claiming that both of these offer commercial support for #OpenSource projects as part of their portfolio. I wonder if company X and company Y are advertisers on Google?🤔 What about transparency regarding the influence of advertising budgets on AI-generated responses, especially at #Google?

@alexandrageese@bonn.social there is no tech sovereignty without #opensource . You're not in control of your digital fate unless you're entitled to see and modify the sources of your complete software stack. Even non-technical folks at the @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu should have grasped that by now - so please reconsider. #digitalsovereignty

@hywan@floss.social IANAL, but I took away from a commercial training on #AI and copyright that AI-generated works (code or other) can _never_ claim copyright on their own merits, because intellectual property is something that (current) legislation world wide can only assign to human persons. If it's not created by a human, it cannot be copyrighted. Hope I didn't get that wrong.

@muntashir@infosec.exchange I found this statement particularly interesting: "Use a copyleft license. Many licensing issue can be vanished simply by using a copyleft license." How would using a #copyleft license for your own project prevent LLM-authored contributions that contain significant portions of their copyrighted training data verbatim, just without the proper attribution? Such contributions would still violate the original work's license terms, as far as I understand.
